Danish designer Anne Sofie Madsen re-showed her Fall 2016 collection during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tokyo on Wednesday as part of the DHL Fashion Prize export program. With so many fantastic details, plays on volume and nods to Danish art both modern and classical, it was easy to see why Madsen was chosen by DHL as an innovative and important designer. The looks were elaborate, and at times wavered on the edge of wearable art, but the construction was so well done that the collection stood firmly on high fashion ground.
