On Wednesday night, Fresh Faces in Fashion the annual Gen Art runway competition, celebrated its 20th anniversary with a knock out runway show featuring this year's finalists House of Cannon, Ada + Nik, and Daniel Silverstain. Selected from a pool of over 1,000 entries, the competitors all showed impressive design-prowess and finely tuned points of view that ran the gamut between feminine and ornate and sleek and monochromatic.
This year's jury (who had the unenviable task of choosing just one winner out of the three bursting with potential brands) included industry mega-stars Betsey Johnson, Lydia Hearst, Robert Verdi, Daniel Silver & Steven Cox (of Duckie Brown, who themselves were in the Gen Art show 20years ago), as well as George Wayne of Vanity Fair and Gen Art's Keri Invgarsson and Christina Neault.
