According to the official run of show notes, the Spring 2016 collection from Korean label Plac was drawn from a wild mash-up of ideas, pop culture references, and vivid imagery, some of which seemed in strict contradiction to one another.
But surprisingly, this mind-boggling array of inspiration did not create style discord, instead Plac Creative Director Jae Wan Park used a deft hand to create a simple yet elegant collection of neutrals that were young and unique but still very wearable.
This innate ability to create impeccable, thoroughly original style out of chaos is really in line with what we have been seeing (and loving) at fashion weeks in both Tokyo and Seoul, and is what we hope to see more and more of in New York.
