After debuting at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York during the Fall 2015 Women's Ready to Wear season, designer Carlos Garciavelez returned to present his Spring 2016 collection earlier today as part of the inaugural New York Fashion Week Mens event. This time inspired by the contrasting reactions of artificial and natural light on a variety surfaces, the collection showcased Garciavelez's sharp eye for line and construction as well as his keen understanding of what the American male wants in sportswear. Edgy, but not too 'out there', minimal but not 'boring', the collection struck a perfect balance, and set the tone for what looks to be an impressive day 1 at Men's week.
