Easily one of the biggest shows at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tokyo, Dresscamp never fails to deliver a high spirited, and highly theatrical, show. For Spring 2016 the show was downright cinematic with an eclectic mix of Victoriana and 1970's era style parading down the runway at a frenetic pace. Sound crazy? It was, in the best possible way, and in the way fans of Dresscamp designer Toshikazu Iwaya have come to expect from the show. It was high-energy, full of joyful expression with a touch of gender-bending and tons of fun details such as glittering petticoats underneath a series of black party dresses, and bold ruffles on shoulders and waists.
