1990's riot grrlz with a heavy dose of grunge gone glam, served as inspiration for the Lovechild 1979 Fall 2016 runway show which debuted at Copenhagen Fashion Week on Thursday. Retro graphic prints and plaids were used sparingly in layers under, and occasionally over, more minimalistic pieces for a feel that was utterly fresh and modern, while pops of lace on just a few pieces gave a nod to the "baby-doll dress" that became an iconic look of the referenced era. The overall effect, was vibrant and bursting with energy, and gave credence to the huge popularity of the label.
