It was a celebration of youth on the Siki Im Spring 2016 runway where punk rock, surf/skate culture got a high fashion upgrade. With a background that includes working as a senior designer for both Karl Lagerfeld and Helmut Lang, Im who is German by birth but New Yorker for the last decade, has proven time and time again that his talent for construction is impeccable, and his eye for architecturally inspired silhouettes is astounding. However, with this Spring 2016 collection he shows us a whole new Im, one who has an eye for whimsy, but knows how to keep things safely on the 'edgy' category without ever straying into 'goofy.'
