The wild earth, namely camels and eagles made a big impression on the Yoshio Kubo Fall 2015 collection, which showed at Hikarie Hall in Tokyo on Wednesday night. Presented in small groupings of 1 to 5 models at a time, the collection felt like a series of capsules, or even chapters in an ongoing story, that the designer was telling. Backstage after the show the designer explained that he was moved by the idea of combining two diametrically opposed elements (such as the mighty eagle, and the lowly camel) for an effect that is challenging and inspiring. And that it was.
