When it comes to constructing dazzling forms that somehow manage to be both architectural and utterly weightless, it's hard to argue that there is any designer more skilled than Yasutoshi Ezumi. Season after season the designer creates astonishingly beautiful collections that are strong yet delicate, of couture quality and still completely reasonable as ready to wear.

Sound like an exaggeration? Trust, it isn't. The Spring 2016 pieces were all of this and more. Staged in an art gallery in Tokyo's chic Aoyoma neighborhood, the pieces showed off all of Ezumi's vast skill. Intriguing silhouettes with quirky details such as 'sleeve belts' and skirts that appeared to be built from blazers, matched with coated dresses and clean separates made for a well rounded collection that was nothing short of fashion-lust inducing.
