Before launching their own label, designers Mike Eckhaus and Zoe Latta of Eckhause Latta, had a long list of high-profile employers including Marc Jacobs, Proenza Schouler, Matthew Barney, Mary Katrantzou, and threeASFOUR, the last of which clearly still carry some influence on the the pair's own creative point of view. Highly conceptual, and bursting with ideas and symbolism the Spring 2015 Eckhaus Latta show was at times mind-boggling, but was also thrilling to see New York based brand really "go for it" creatively. And the details were fantastic from the distressed stacked-sneakers to the ropey "torn-terry" skirt to the many fresh takes on denim silhouettes; it all left me wanting to see more from Eckhaus Latta in the future.
