At first glance, the Mr. Gentleman Spring 2015 collection was a surprisingly low-key offering from former Phenomenon designer Takeshi Osumi and his design partner Yuichi Yoshii of The Contemporary Fix. But on closer inspection, the collection was packed with clever details such as Italian countryside photo images, classic menswear tie prints used in unusual ways, and perforated mesh accessories that clipped on to suspenders. In addition to the thoughtful details the collection pushed boundaries with a color palette set firmly in the pastel range, with lilac, mint, and rose all acting as major players. The overall effect, fresh fun and definitely for the daring.
