It was an unusually toned-down collection, both in color palette and campiness at Anna Sui Spring 2014. But, the surprises were plentiful including a knock out closing look on legendary model Karen Elson that was covered in delicate embroidery and a few eye-popping men's pieces scattered through the mix. Of course for hard-core Sui disciples there was still plenty of rock and roll spirit. The Pre-Raphaelite tapestries, which were a major inspiration for the designer this season, worked perfectly with Sui's classic 60's boho point of view for a collection that was ornately sumptuous and loaded with elaborate details and intricate prints.
