Just in time for the holidays, Japan town's Tokyo-fashion Hub, New People is getting a major glam injection with LashSpot Spas.
From the official press release:
"NEW PEOPLE, the fantastically cool and colorful Japanese pop culture destination, is now opening beauty’s most sought after service sensation – LashSpot Eyelash Extension Spa. LashSpot Spa is a premier lash extensions boutique and opens its first location in San Francisco on Friday, November 15th. Specializing in everything lashes, LashSpot Spas offers customized eyelash extensions, lash tinting, lash perms, and semi-permanent mascara. LashSpot also offers additional personal beauty services such as brow waxing, and bikini, body and facial waxing. All of the services can be purchased at a discounted rate through their 'Lash Lovers' membership program."
For those squeamish about semi-permanent eyelash application, pros from the Lashspot team told SW via e-mail:
"Each technician is professionally trained by LashSpot through a rigorous training program and also tested on theoretical and practical application to ensure the utmost professional and safest procedures possible. LashSpot uses only luxury lash extensions made from silk and mink fibers for the softest lashes. A technician will guide the client through a personal consultation to learn about his or her lifestyle and lash look expectations. Each extension is individually adhered to the natural lash, one by one, with LashSpot’s specially formulated adhesive and creates longer, thicker, fuller, seamless lash extensions."
Intrigued? I know I am! After spending 10 days in Tokyo for Mercedes-Benz Fashion week last month, and noticing that it seemed nearly EVERY woman on the street either had lash extensions or was wearing falsies, I am definitely in the "need longer lashes" club. (isn't it funny how if you see a trend enough you find yourself wanting to do it too?) How bout you guys? Do you plan on getting your lashes 'done' this season? Stay tuned for more info about Lash Spot this coming week.
