When it comes to haute-sport looks that perfectly walk the line between urban and couture, one brand stands out beyond all others, Y-3 by Yohji Yamamoto. This collaboration between designer Yamamoto and iconic sport brand Adidas has been nothing short of a fashion revolution which ushered in the concept of high end athletic -inspired wear over a decade ago and has been going strong ever since.
This season, according to the official run of show notes, "Y-3 explores parts unknown with a brave, bold, kinetic collection inspired by aviation: its pioneering history and, tantalizingly, its future." During the show, which was unveiled earlier today as part of Paris Men's Week, "Men’s and women’s pieces debuted side by side in a sharply tailored aesthetic—think peaked shoulders, cinched waists, and masterful outerwear—that at the same time pushed the limits of future tech."
