A visual feast for the eyes, packed with plenty of sweet treats like candy colored corsets with tongue in cheek details, and long glittering gowns, the Alice in Wonderland inspired Fall 2016 collection from The Blonds was magic-mushroomy delicious. Exquisitely constructed and wildly creative, design team David and Phillipe Blond showed off their abundant talent and their sense of humor with pieces that really played on the more hallucinogenic elements of the classic literally tale.
The show opened with Phillipe draped in a Marilyn/Madonnna hybrid look in sumptuous pink leather, and continued with a series of modern sexed up "Alices" portraying the entire trip down the rabbit hole, through the tea party, and confronting the Queen of Hearts.
Alice of course ended her bender victoriously, as did The Blonds themselves as their final walk, and trademark kiss on the runway, was met with thunderous applause from a very appreciative audience.
