Tokyo: A Degree Fahrenheit Fall 2015

His home base, and major following of fans may be in Tokyo Japan, but there is something about designer Yu Amatsu of A Degree Fahrenheit that is decidedly "Los Angeles." Amatsu captures the essence of  the LA laid-back, street wear inspired chic so succinctly you'd swear he spends his days on the beach at Zuma, and nights listening to bands in Silverlake.

The A Degree Fahrenheit Fall 2015 collection showcased this point of view beautifully. The palette was soft black, white, and grey with small but important details such as carefully placed zippers and deconstructed logos. The silhouettes were at times voluminous but not to a ridiculous point, and when needed for balance, pants were sleek and slim without crossing over into the 'skinny' arena. The overall message was clear, the young hip A Degree Fahrenheit customer has an eye for style, but never ever wants to be seen as trying too hard; and what's more LA than that?
