Tokyo: DressedUndressed Fall 2016

Lingerie, the American television show Twin Peaks, and Sigmund Freud all served as elements of inspiration for the DRESSEDUNDRESSED Fall 2016 runway show. Oversized outerwear brought balance to the looks, which were far more seductive than the more unisex collections we've seen from the DRESSEDUNDRESSED designers Takeshi Kitazawa and Emiko Sato in the past. This departure was both surprising, and refreshing, as it served to prove that Kitazawa and Sato are way more than a one-note design team, and in fact have a wide range of talents to offer the global fashion market.

When asked about the collection during the press meet and great directly after the show, Kitazawa and Sato said they were "out to create a collection that was playful and erotic, while also referencing a 'dark side' of the human condition," which they more than achieved with the well executed and deftly edited collection.
