Elevating counter culture fashion to a high couture level can be a tricky business. For many designers it proves impossible as attempts to accurately portray the spirit of an underground style comes out at best forced, and at worst downright cheesy. For Yasutaka Funakoshi however, it has never been a problem. Looking at his pieces, it's obvious he designs with passion bringing his own creative point of view to his work for Alice Auaa. It's this passion that brings so much validity to the label, and makes it so popular with those who share his taste in the darker side of style.
