Tokyo: G.V.G.V. Fall 2013

It was standing room only, and even that space was fought over aggressively, at the G.V.G.V Fall 2013 runway show, and understandably so as the label is one of Japan's most popular, and has a major international following via being carried in the world's chicest boutiques, such as Opening Ceremony in New York.

The collection itself was a celebration of the bombshell from Bettie Page to Marilyn Monroe. Bondage-pin-up prints, lean pencil skirts, silky pajama jumpsuits and leather touches everywhere brought a fun, "bad girl" vibe to otherwise twee "good-girl" looks.

Additional styling touches including finger-waved and cat-eyed glasses brought the whole concept together in a delightfully retro package.
