Skatewear inspired, but still ultra chic, the Munthe Fall 2017 collection, which was shown in Copenhagen's indoor skatepark with actual skateboarders performing , was a fantastically cool departure from the understated minimalism frequently associated with Scandinavian design. The looks were luxe, with layered velvets, leathers, furs and touches of lamé, but remained young and fun with a series of mixed prints and graphics bringing punk rock-punch to everything.
The biggest punch of all...the kick-ass finale when designer Naja Munthe joined her "army of women" in a final walk, draped in her very own "Pussy Grabs Back" tee next to a Donald-Trump masked model. The effect was rebellious and powerful, and left this American reviewer feeling a light of hope for the first time in weeks.
