"Persepolis, ancient Persian capital, a somewhat mystical place - has been designer Leyla Piedayesh's inspiration for the Autumn/Winter 16/17 collection." Were the notes given in the official press pack for the La La Berlin Fall 2016 runway show. And the inspiration proved to be a gorgeous one with "antique statues of various mythical creatures and Middle Eastern animals, used as the starting point of most prints." The end effect was stunning, with the ancient decorative inspired elements forming a nice contrast to the otherwise hyper modern pieces.
