A true innovator among Danish fashion brands, Ivan Grundahl has always been on the forefront of bridging creativity and wearability. Now, under the helm of new creative director Roy Krejberg, the brand is building on that history, but, appears to be taking a turn towards a more modern point of view that retains the romantic legacy of the label and infuses it with a fresh energy. For Fall 2017 that meant taking cues from fairytale imagery and adding deconstructed silhouettes that felt surprisingly tough and not nearly as feminine as the word 'fairytale' might suggest. In short, the collection had all of the beauty one would expect from the brand but with a new coolness that was a welcome addition to the fashion week lineup.
