Titled "the rehearsal" and inspired by designer Meiko Ban’s former career as a choreographer, the Thibaut Spring 2018 show was highly conceptual and meant to tell the story of dancers rehearsing before a big performance. The semi-dressed looks, which often hinted at both theatrical costumes and the notoriously grungy, often shredded. layers ballerinas wear to practice, made a HUGE SPLASH on the internet when a blogger's photo of the show was tweeted and retweeted and retweeted millions of times; making Thibaut the most talked about show of the Tokyo season.
