Set in the elegant hall at the Hotel D'Angleterre, and offset with an original concrete sculpture that brought a brutalist vibe to the show, the Berggren Studio debut show at Copenhagen Fashion Week A/W 2017 was a masterful mix of art influences from bold graphic, to soft watercolors; with notable nods to artists such as M.C. Escher and Jackson Pollock seeming to inspire the the knock-out prints. The pieces themselves, despite it being a Scandinavian winter collection, had a remarkable lightness with relaxed flowing silhouettes, and lots of bared skin replacing the heavy leathers and furs one often sees this time of year in the region. The overall effect was simply beautiful and easily pictured being worn by women all over the world.
