Dear Haikusue:
Every year I run myself ragged trying to round up gifts for every member of my very large family. It gets not only economically oppressive, but I just don't have time with my heavy work schedule to do all this shopping. I need a sure fire way to talk to my family and convince them that we should tone it down, and maybe do a "just for the kids" Christmas, because every time I bring it up they all act like I am the Grinch come to life. How do I make them see that gift-giving, especially the expensive store-bought kind, isn't needed for a happy holiday season?
Signed,
Cash-Strapped and worn out in the Outer Richmond
