A "Sad Romance" was the inspiration backstage at Katie Gallagher Spring 2015, where the hair and beauty being created for the show personified airy romanticism. Light, ethereal, and other-worldly, the look managed to be both theatrical, yet unfussy and had a truly chic-without-trying vibe.
"The idea we had was, something light, almost like a disappearing woman. " Hair Guru, Catwalk by TIGI Global Creative Director Nick Irwin told Style Wylde as he worked on a model. "The collection has three color stories, black, cream, and white , it sort of fades away and we wanted a hair to match that idea. So we are doing a very simple pony, it's pulled back very close to the head to make it low-profile , but all the small bits and pieces are left out to give it a natural young and fresh look. Then, on a few of the girls, we are covering the whole thing with a sheer tulle, like a veil, it gives it a soft, almost watered down look."
Products used to created the look: CATWALK by TiGi Session Series Transforming Dry Shampoo, as a first step to give hair texture, and then again on the completed pony to scrunch and give movement, and CATWALK by TiGi Session Series Work It Hairspray in generous amounts to keep the final look in place.
