Two brands representing Jakarta Fashion showed together on Tuesday Morning at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tokyo. The brands, Etu and Toton represented two totally different elements of modern Indonesian style, one with traditional elements and one that had a rock-n-roll in Jakarta vibe. As different as they are, both brands chose to go with the runway beauty experts from Maybelline (led by superstar Make-Up Artist Mizu) to get the perfect look to complete their collections.

I was fortunate enough to be invited backstage at the show to watch Mizu, and the entire Maybelline team put together two very different looks for the shows; a soft rosy-cheek with a dark cat eye for the more conservative Etu, and a wild-silver tinged look (with hyper dramatic silver tinged fingers) for Toton. Products used to create both looks came from the Maybelline Colorshow Blush'em on cheeks, Big Eyes shadows on lids , and Super Mineral powder for a perfect finish with lashes being done in either Lashionista, or Magnum Volume Express mascaras.
